From Local Voices to Global Goals
In 2023, the Indonesian Youth SDGs Summit leveled up. We welcomed even more youth from diverse regions and amplified grassroots voices like never before. From showcasing changemakers to building new youth-led collaborations, this summit empowered local actions with global purpose. What made this year truly special was the presence of both national and international political figures, who joined us in vital discussions on sustainable development, further elevating the credibility and influence of our collective youth movement.
Even more significantly, this marked our first on-site (offline) summit since the COVID-19 lockdowns. After doing a virtual summit, the energy of face-to-face dialogue and real human connection was truly transformative. The return to physical space allowed deeper collaboration, spontaneous innovation, and a renewed sense of solidarity that recharged our commitment to collective action.
"Combating Our Climate Crisis" And "Greener Future”
Chosen to reflect the urgency of climate action, this year's summit theme emphasized how today's youth must lead efforts to combat environmental degradation. Through shared knowledge and collaborative action, we believe the next generation can push for a greener, fairer, and more sustainable Indonesia.
